We have been fortunate to hear some of the works of Edvard Greig, as interpreted and played by MTT and the SF Symphony. So we jumped at the chance to visit his home and studio and museum. He suffered from TB, stood only 4’10”, one lung collapsed, spinal problems. A genius. Took ordinary Norwegian folk songs and arranged them into piano pieces, then composed full symphonies. We even purchased a DVD of the west coast of Norway set to his music, and a CD to entertain us as we drive through Norway. Yeah Edvard!
